Welsh Baccalaureate
The Welsh Baccalaurette (also known as the Welsh Bac) is an overarching qualification that combines a range of qualifications linked to your main course. It is welcomed by employers as it gives you additional skills, experience and confidence. The Advanced Bac is also welcomed by many universities across the UK.
Within your Welsh Baccalaureate qualification, you'll carry out research, make presentations, take part in debates, raise money for charity and help the local and wider community. You will do this through participation in the units below.

| The Welsh Bac Advanced Diploma is studied within Level 3 courses. It carries 120 UCAS points and will help you gain a place on a Higher Education course. |

Wales, Europe & the World
Explore political, social, cultural and technological issues from a Welsh, UK, European and international dimension. Study a modern foreign language for a total of 20 hours. Complete a coursework project on a social, political or cultural issue which interests you.
Key Skills
Maintain and develop skills in Application of Number, IT, Problem Solving, Communication, Working with Others, Improving Own Learning.
Work-related Education
Undertake work experience and a team enterprise project.
Personal and Social Education
Develop your global citizenship through exploration of ethical, social, moral and sustainability issues and health education. Undertake 30 hours of community work including fundraising, awareness raising and giving practical help.

Personal Tutorials
All full-time students receive weekly group tutorial sessions and at least one individual tutorial per term.
Group tutorial sessions include general information about the course, Personal and Social Education (PSE) topics and some additional course content, as appropriate.
Individual tutorials include discussions on your progress, assignments, attendance, behaviour and any welfare issues. Personal tutors may also refer you to a Learning Coach, the Study Skills Team or the College Counsellor if needed.
