Where are they now?
Name: George Benson
Course: Engineering - Mechanical and Electrical
Where are they now?: Mechanical Engineering Technician Apprentice with Exova
"I am now in the second year of an apprenticeship with Exova, based at Tata Steel. My role involves producing different test pieces from a range of materials. These are then passed through a variety of metallurgical processes and tests. It’s really interesting and I’m learning and developing all the time.
College was a good experience for me. I had a great relationship with the tutors in the Engineering department, who were really easy to interact with and provided a lot of support in helping me to find and achieve an apprenticeship."
