Early Years
We offer a range of Early Years courses that will prepare you for work within the sector. You will take part in work placements to gain experience that will help you when you move on to look for employment. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate the potential to work independently and safely in child care settings.
Career Paths
Classroom Assistant/Teacher, Nursery Nurse, Paediatric Nurse.

Courses
As you are likely to take part in work experience which involves either children or vulnerable adults as part of all these courses, you will need to complete an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. If you have a criminal record, you may still gain a place on the course, it depends on the nature and background of any offence. If you would like to discuss this issue in confidence, please contact our Student Services Advisers on 01244 834511, or call in to speak to them in person.

Did you know?
All students on Early Years full-time programmes undertake vocational placements as part of their course of study. These provide valuable experience and can help build links that could lead to employment.
