Name: Lucy Thomas

Where are they now?: Skin Specialist, Skingenisis
"My day to day responsibilities include performing specialist aesthetics skin treatments such as chemical peels and laser treatments. I also have the opportunity to travel with the company on specialist training events.
I loved college and I am now in a job that I really enjoy. I learnt so much from my tutors, who were really supportive in explaining treatments and how a salon or spa operated and also in helping us to find work placements . My work placement actually led to this job."
Name: Ann-Marie Wilcock
Course: Beauty and Complementary Therapies
Where are they now?: Deputy Spa Manager, Spa by Kasia
"My job involves overseeing the day to day running of a five-star Spa, training the team of 11 therapists, preparing rotas, ordering stock and looking after clients.
I learnt so much from my tutors at college, they had such a wealth of knowledge and experience in the area. I started working for Spa by Kasia on weekends at the end of my second year at college and then as my skills developed on the course I took on more hours and gained a number of promotions. My years at college certainly provided the perfect foundation for a career that I love"
