Clwyd South Assembly Member Ken Skates, joined Deeside College Principal, David Jones on a tour of the site, meeting with full-time Motor Vehicle students and their tutors on the way.
Ken took the opportunity to take a look at the college’s mechanical workshops, where students are able to practice their skills, on different motor vehicles using the latest in industry technologies.
Wrexham Training became part of the Deeside College Group of Colleges in August 2010 following the merger between Deeside College and Coleg Llysfasi. Located on the Ruabon Industrial Estate near Wrexham, it provides full and part time course options in Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapies and Motor Vehicle studies to over 200 students.
Deeside College Principal David Jones said:
“We were delighted to welcome Clwyd South Assembly Member Ken Skates to our Wrexham Training site. Many students from this site go on to fill vital roles in local industries, aiding the local economy.
“The visit provided an excellent opportunity for the students to question their local AM and discuss their own future ambitions.”
