The automotive department offers wide ranging and exciting opportunities for all motor vehicle learners.
We can offer the following:
- Entry level with a range of flexible units to suit a range of vehicle types and learner skills needs
- Pre-apprentice Foundation level 1: aimed mainly for school leavers
- NVQ’s Levels 2 and 3:
- Technical Certificates Levels 2 and 3
- Motor Vehicle L2 Welsh baccalaureate
- Modern apprenticeships at level 2 and level 3
If you work in the vehicle maintenance, repair, fast-fit, electrical or similar automotive industries we have courses running full time, part time day release, and in the evening. We understand the need to be flexible; there are courses to support learners who are school leavers that would like to embark into a career within the automotive industry, technicians who have been working in industry for many years that would like to up-skill to further their opportunities; including time served technicians who have no qualifications at all.
We have excellent facilities with a wide range of vehicles and up to date equipment. All tutors and support staff are skilled automotive technicians from industry that can provide practical expertise and knowledge. We have a dedicated work place assessor who can facilitate work based learning including modern apprenticeships.
We have been recently confirmed as an ‘Outstanding’ department in terms of Work Based delivery by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate (Estyn).
