We are one of the leading post 16 land-based training providers in Wales.
Our Land-based Faculty provides award-winning training designed to meet the needs of employers and staff across a wide geographic area, including Flintshire, Wrexham, Denbighshire and Conwy, Cheshire and the Wirral.
Our specialist staff deliver training & assessment in your workplace. In addition to work based apprenticeships we offer a range of day-release training, open & distance learning, and professional short courses via our Land-based Faculty, based at Northop College.
We provide a full range of specialist Land-based apprenticeships. The training is delivered by our specialistwork-based staff who will visit and supportyou in your workplace throughout the training period. Some routes include day release or block release training at Northop College designed to supplement and support skills developed in the workplace.
Horticulture Courses
Our flexible work-based horticulture training is designed to meet the needs of businesses & trainees across the sector, including: Landscape, Golf & Sports Turf, Amenity, Gardens & Green Space, Groundsmanship, and Nursery Production. We also provide the specialist short courses such as Use of Chainsaws, Pesticides, & Spraying. This year we have launched new day-release and block-release options in addition to our work based training. We also offer the prestigious RHS Certificate courses at Northop College.

Floristry Courses
Combining innovative craft skills and all aspects of practical floristry, commercial retail practice, and customer service; our floristry courses offer high quality work-based training at trainee and supervisory levels. We are also one of the few UK colleges to offer the well-regarded Level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry. This course is ideal for experienced florists seeking to improve or update their skills to an advanced level.
