Construction

Operating within state-of-the-art facilities, and with an open and friendly approach to training, the Construction Skills Centre provides an excellent environment for students and apprentices to study and develop.

Training for the workplace is one of the department’s main objectives and learners continually benefit from industry based courses that implement occupational standards and workplace regulations, as well as use up-to-date equipment and the latest technologies.

Quality of training is paramount, and all tutors are occupationally experienced having spent many years in industry. This industrial knowledge helps support learners throughout their learning, and all courses, as well as offering continual ‘hands on’ skill challenges also includes for enrichment and wider skills.

These benefit learners greatly, as key and personal skills, such as problem solving and independent working, often support students and apprentices within employment. This is why we have an excellent reputation of getting our students into employment.
