- With extensive partnership links across Wales and the UK, Deeside College is an outstanding provider of education, training and development.
- Deeside College has over 1,800 full-time students and 10,000 part-time and work based learning students.
- Education and training is based around the main campus in Connah’s Quay, the new centre in Holywell and over 20 learning centres across the local communities of Flintshire.
- The college also works in partnership with local employers to provide training via company learning centres including Airbus UK, Corus Colors, Castle Cement, Paramount Foods and Indesit. This is in addition to extensive training and development programmes which take place on employers’ premises across North Wales and the UK.
- Deeside College is committed to providing a high quality and welcoming learning environment that is student centred and accessible to all. In the latest of a series on ongoing investment in its campus, the Health, Care & Early Years and Basic Skills Centre and the Flintshire 14-19 Learning Core Centre.
- The Learning Centre in Akureyri was established in 1994, with the development of a special study program for unemployed women. Now, 14 years later the women´s study program continues to be the heart of the operation but the students now come from various backgrounds, the majority working towards rehabilitation.
- The Centre also offers various courses in continuous education for Akureyri and the neighbouring municipalities. Other projects which are a part of the operation are: Akureyri Intercultural Centre; Learning Centre for Young People; rehabilitation program; job-market training for teenagers; European projects.
- The study aims for gender equality, improved communication as well as encouraging active citizenship. One might say that the heart of the operation is the Mobility Training Course for Women, with it's ideology of a threefold study being intertwined in all the work done at the Learning Centre.
- Association for Education and Development of Women, Ostrava is a non-profit citizen association (NGO) for an empowerment and an all-round support of women and for the implementation of equal opportunities for women and men to learning and training.
- ATHENA is a specialist in the development of interactive e-learning courses and in the e-counselling. The gender-oriented, user-friendly and pleasant methodology of learning is a key factor for the cost-efficiency of such self-learning.
- To enhance the chance of women to be employed and to gain the appropriate work, ATHENA brings training and consultancy for women, trainers and counsellors.
- Group for European Integration [GIE] is a NGO that has as main goal to actively contribute to the integration process of European Union, by educational actions, cultural actions or other types of actions. GIE possesses expertise in various fields: curriculum and educational materials development, didactic evaluation, project's products and process evaluation and assessment, dissemination. GIE disposes of a professional and highly qualified staff (9 to 15 members) and its activities focuses especially on:
- Performing educational, training, cultural, socio-economical and political actions, adequate to the aim of the association, contributing thus to the European integration process;
- Initiating fundamental and/or applicative research activities;
- promoting the fundamental values of democracy and of human rights;
- Cultivating and developing collaboration relations with other governmental or non-governmental organizations from Romania and from abroad, having as goal to promote the humanist values, the European values.
- Concerning the activity at European level, GIE was involved in different cooperation projects, centered on various themes: education, gender mainstreaming, religion, social integration of the elderly people, implementation of the acquis, parent education, communication, etc. Within these projects GIE acted as coordinating institution or as partner, performing specific activities in the target field of the respective projects, in accordance with the work plan (surveys, field research and analysis, data collection and processing, curriculum design, training courses, development of dissemination materials, etc.)
- Social Innovation Fund, (SIF) is a non-governmental organisation, which was established in 1994 and assists unemployed and economically-disadvantaged women and men to make positive changes in their life through the provision of educational opportunities, social support, information and advice.
- The SIF actively organizes different kind of informal learning for socially disadvantaged groups. Its activities are also oriented to informal training of minorities and immigrants with respect to different cultures. The SIF is the founder and co-ordinator of the non-formal Coalition of Lithuania NGOs for Advocacy on Women's Human Rights, which unites more than 60 women's NGOs in Lithuania.
- It was involved in writing Alternative (NGOs) reports for two UN convention-CEDAW and CESCR - Convent of the Economical, Social and Cultural Rights. The SIF is actively engaged to influencing public policy while implementing the Law of Equal Opportunities for men and women in Lithuania. Social Innovation Fund coordinated a 3-year Socrates Grundtvig 1 project "Wo-Men – Gender equality Creates Democracy". Besides, SIF is a supporting member of the European Women’s Lobby and a member of few national associations and networks.
- SIF has experience in co-ordinating European projects (Socrates Grundtvig, Phare Lien, Phare Democracy) and participating as a partner in EU Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig and Daphne projects.
