Subsidised training which is directly relevant to your organisation is available via our Apprenticeship programmes.

Apprenticeships are an excellent way for your business to develop employees with the skills and experience you need. Apprentices will get hands-on experience and on-the-job training, and at the same time gain industry-recognised qualifications.

Types of apprenticeships

  • Foundation Apprenticeships

    Length of course
    Approximately 1 to 2 years

    Course outline
    Foundation Apprenticeships offer employed people the opportunity to gain valuable qualifications at no cost. You will follow a training programme at college and/or in the workplace, leading to QCF qualifications at level 2 and Essential Skills Wales such as Communication, Application of Number and Problem Solving.

  • Apprenticeships

    Length of course
    Approximately 2 to 3 years

    Course outline
    Apprenticeships offer employed people the opportunity to gain valuable qualifications at no cost. You will follow a training programme at college and/or in the workplace, leading to QCF qualifications at level 3 plus Essential Skills Wales such as Communication, Application of Number and Problem Solving.

  • Shared Apprenticeships

    The shared apprenticeship scheme is a pilot project that enables employers to pool their resources and share the training of apprentices.

  • Higher Apprenticeships

    You will work towards qualifications at level 4.

  • Traineeships

    These training programmes are aimed at unemployed people aged 16 - 18 year olds who live in Wales and need to gain confidence and/or learn new skills to help them gain employment.


Is there an age limit?

No - apprentices can be any age from 16 upwards.

The role of Acquire Training

We have many years of experience in delivering successful apprenticeship programmes across a wide range of vocational areas. We will provide, support and fund all the training required for successful completion of the apprenticeship framework. Furthermore, our Assessors will regularly monitor and review the progress of your apprentice involving you fully in the review process.
